Dentistry with Dr. Rumisa Nabi
Our goal is to help you maintain a healthy smile throughout your life. Meets all your family’s oral healthcare needs by providing services that range from general family dentistry to reconstructive and cosmetic treatments.
1. General Dentistry
Providing a wide range of General Dentistry services, we aim to be an enthusiastic dental team that cares for our patients and their families. Healthy teeth and gums contribute to your overall health by preventing infection and reducing dental decay.
Dental Hygiene
The importance of dental hygiene cannot be overstated since your oral health can influence your overall health. Several health concerns, such as heart disease, have been linked directly to periodontal disease (gum disease).
Prevention and treatment of periodontal disease are both possible! It can be reversed if caught early. Regular dental check-ups are essential for early detection if you have a family history of gum disease.
Dental fillings
Fillings are used to repair broken teeth, fill cavities, or replace old fillings that have been damaged or need to be repaired. To prevent further decay or infection, the decay must first be removed from the tooth before the filling can be placed. We recommend tooth-colored composite fillings, but you can also get amalgam fillings, gold fillings, or porcelain fillings.

Gum Therapy
Gum disease can be prevented by practicing proper oral hygiene at home and regular dental visits.
The most common cause of tooth loss is gum disease. Fortunately, gum disease is usually preventable. A bacterial infection in your gums causes gum disease, also known as periodontal disease. Your gums are affected by it.
Maintaining your oral health and preventing issues can be achieved through soft tissue management. Your dental hygienist will check for gum disease during your routine check-up. Dr. Rumaisa Nabi will develop a personalized treatment plan for you based on your current situation.
Root Canal Therapy
Dr. Rumaisa Nabi may recommend a root canal for patients suffering from soft-tissue infections within the body.
The pulp is located at the center of your tooth. Cells, nerve tissue, and blood vessels make up the pulp in a tooth. An infection in the pulp can be caused by trauma, deep decay, cracks, chips, or repeated dental procedures. Infection symptoms include visible injury to the tooth or swelling, temperature sensitivity, a toothache, or constant pain in the gums and tooth.
Since this type of infection cannot be cured, a root canal might be necessary. Dr. Rumaisa Nabi will evaluate your oral health; root canals may be recommended to help prevent infections from worsening.

2. Cosmetic Dentistry
People usually notice your smile first when they meet you, and straight, clean, beautiful teeth boost your confidence. Dental implants, porcelain crowns, and veneers may be suitable if you have missing, broken, or damaged teeth. Natural-looking teeth are created with these procedures.
At your first appointment, we can take x-rays and advise you on the cosmetic procedures that will help you look your best. All our cosmetic procedures are designed to help you achieve your desired beautiful smile.
Teeth Whitening
Having a beautiful smile may prove more accessible than you think. As a result of our daily lives, our teeth are easily stained and yellowed. Discoloration of teeth is caused by coffee, tea, sodas, cigarettes, and many other foods. With our simple bleaching procedures, many people can achieve the look they’ve always wanted. To restore the natural glow of your smile, we offer either in-office or at-home whitening kits.
Lumineers
Lumineers have revolutionized aesthetic dentistry. As materials have advanced and patients have become more aware of Lumineers, cosmetic dentistry has got a new edge.
It is a thin material custom-made for each patient and is applied to the tooth with a permanent bonding agent.
A significant difference between conventional dental veneers and Lumineers is the very thin thickness of Lumineers, like ultrathin. The construction material durable and much thinner than conventional dental veneers.
The thickness of these Lumineers is comparable to that of contact lenses. Recently, patients have become more knowledgeable about cosmetic dental procedures.
It is not uncommon for patients to call and ask for the following products by name: Lumineers, veneers, Duration, Emprethin, and Empress veneers.
3. Prosthetic dentistry
Crowns and bridges and dental restorations
Providing undetectable dental restorations is our goal. Using the latest technologies, crowns can look and feel just like natural teeth. In order to restore a tooth, a dental crown is fabricated by a lab and cemented to it. To cap a tooth, or completely cover it, you use a crown.
A porcelain bridge replaces up to four adjacent missing teeth with a non-removable appliance. They are custom-made to fit each individual, providing an aesthetically pleasing, long-lasting solution to missing and damaged teeth.
Porcelain Veneers
To create a beautiful, healthy smile, porcelain veneers are custom-made from ceramic and bonded to the front of discolored, uneven, or damaged teeth.

Dental Implants
Periodontal disease, an injury, or a medical condition can lead to the loss of a tooth, or multiple teeth, requiring dental implants. Dental implants replace your tooth’s roots and anchor to your jawbone. Dentists can attach a cap, denture, or bridge to these implants once they are placed in the mouth. They can last for many years if cared for properly. However, they can function just like your natural teeth.

4. Oral Surgery
A wide range of oral surgery procedures can be performed by Dr. Rumaisa Nabi on patients of all ages. No matter what your needs are, we strive to ensure that any oral surgery appointment runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. We perform two types of oral surgery regularly:
Extractions
There are several reasons why you may need a tooth extraction. In some cases, teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed. Others may suffer from advanced gum disease or have broken bones that cannot be repaired. If wisdom teeth are impacted, or in preparation for orthodontic treatment, teeth may need to be removed.
Our goal is to make the procedure as comfortable and painless as possible even though this can be a stressful event. Before any procedure, we ensure excellent anesthesia, and we check in often to ensure our patients are comfortable and informed.
Wisdom Teeth
Between the ages of 16 and 25, wisdom teeth usually appear in the back of the mouth. They often erupt in an unfavorable position and become stuck trying to erupt, causing a condition known as “pericoronitis.” Inflammation of the gum tissue around an impacted wisdom tooth is pericoronitis. It is common for these wisdom teeth to grow unnoticed until they suddenly start causing discomfort in the mouth. In order to determine whether wisdom teeth should be removed, Dr. Rumaisa Nabi use a panoramic view of your mouth.
5. Dental Appliances
Our patients can choose from two types of custom dental appliances: sports mouthguards and night guards. Using an impression of your teeth, a guard can be made to protect your teeth.
Mouthguards for sports
With a custom-fitted Pro-Form Sports Guard, you can protect your smile while playing your favorite sport. These mouthguards are better than the standard one-size-fits-all “boil and bite” mouthguards sold in sporting goods stores because they:
- The guard has a much more consistent thickness
- When you open your mouth, they won’t pop out
- Breathing and speaking will not be hindered
The night guard
For patients who grind and clench their teeth at night, night guards may be recommended. Bruxism, also known as teeth grinding, can cause cracked or broken teeth, headaches, and sore jaws. Awareness is the first step in treating bruxism. Understanding the source of this pain is helpful for both you and your dentist. Dr. Rumaisa Nabi may recommend a night guard to help relieve symptoms. A night guard helps by propping open your bite and protecting your teeth from direct wear. You will wear down the appliance instead of your teeth if you grind.
